According to forecasts, the price of these two Apple models will remain unchanged, despite the great pressure from the escalating memory costs.

The technology industry is currently facing the problem of high memory prices, partly due to a strong wave of investment in artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure. This is causing difficulties for consumer device manufacturers. However, at the present time, Apple seems to be still outside this cost vortex, as many experts believe that the price of Apple's latest iPhone 18 models is expected to remain unchanged.

Jeff Pu, an analyst at GF Securities, said Apple is actively controlling production costs to avoid having to adjust selling prices. Apple is negotiating with memory suppliers such as Samsung and SK Hynix to reach beneficial terms, in the context of sharp increases in DRAM and NAND chip prices.

In addition, Apple will find ways to cut costs in other production stages. Cameras and screens are two items that can be adjusted to optimize costs.

According to Jeff Pu's assessment, Apple aims to maintain the selling price of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max compared to the current generation.

Currently, iPhone 17 Pro has a starting price of 1,099 USD for the 256 GB version, and up to 1,499 USD for the 1 TB version. Meanwhile, iPhone 17 Pro Max starts from 1,199 USD for the 256 GB version and can be up to 1,999 USD for the 2 TB version.

However, many analysts believe that the accuracy in Jeff Pu's forecasts is not reliable enough. On the contrary, Jeff Pu's assessment is consistent with the common view of many analysts following Apple.

Ming Chi Kuo, a reputable analyst, believes that memory supply has not become a problem in the short term thanks to Apple's long-term contracts with partners. According to him, Apple will try to keep the price of iPhone 18 as stable as possible.

Speaking to analysts, Apple CEO Tim Cook confirmed that the price of RAM and flash memory currently does not affect Apple, but this will be a noteworthy issue by the end of 2026.
